LD:NorthEast’s Lucky 13 Challenge

Lucky 13 Challenge – We Need Your Help!!

On Sunday 13th September it would have been the 40th Great North Run. We were really looking forward to cheering on our amazing team of runners that were signed up to take part aid of LD:NorthEast.

It was absolutely the right decision to cancel the event to help keep everyone safe. However it does now mean that we will lose out on the much needed funds that would have been raised this year to support our work.

So that’s why we’re introducing the LDNE Lucky 13 Challenge! In honour of those iconic 13 miles we’re launching a fun way to support us that’s suitable for everyone.

All you need to do is to set yourself a challenge based on the number 13 and complete it before Sunday 13th September. Your challenge could be anything from running, walking or cycling 13 miles, to reading 13 books in 13 days, or even baking 13 cakes. Whatever you decide to do please make sure you stick to the current Government guidelines.
