Community Outreach for Individuals

Here at LD:NorthEast, we know how important it is to live life to the full. Our Community Outreach activities support people who have a learning disability to do just that. We offer an alternative to the more traditional building based day services as we know this doesn’t work for everyone. Our support helps people to keep healthy and active, feel included in the community and spend time with friends. We can help with:

  • Active lifestyle support – getting out for regular exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle
  • Support with social skills – helping people connect and spend time with friends, and join in with social activities
  • Support to live independently – help with food shopping, cooking healthy meals and other daily living tasks

  • Our sessions are a minimum of four hours
